Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department is proud to announce the January honorees for the department’s Career Tech Students of the Month. Kyle Saul (Twin Valley South) and Clara Walton (Valley View) were both recognized for being outstanding representatives of their career technical programs.

Kyle Saul (Twin Valley South) – Kyle is a skilled and self-motivated student from Computer Repair and Tech Support taught by Amy Sugden.  He recently placed 1st in Database Applications at BPA Regionals and will compete at the BPA State Competition in March.  Kyle made it to nationals in the same event as a junior last year. Mrs. Sugden stated, “He is very interested in 3D printing and is working on advanced skills in 3D printing as a Senior Project. He troubleshoots and maintains our class 3D printers. He has been accepted at several 4-year universities for next fall.” Also, Kyle maintains a high GPA and competes in two varsity sports - Cross Country and Track. He also competed in the State Cross Country meet last fall.

Clara Walton (Valley View) – Clara is a phenomenal student and a great representative for the MVCTC Sports Management and Marketing Program taught by Mr. Zach Gueth. She is a student ambassador, 2-year BPA state qualifier, and helps coordinate the student volunteer opportunities through Special Olympics. Clara has maintained a 4.0 GPA and 97% percent attendance rating. Additionally, Clara is also a runner, and the success in the classroom has carried over to the track. Clara was a member of a 4X4 state relay team.  Mr. Gueth stated, “Clara is an amazing student that goes above and beyond.  She is a leader in and out of the classroom.”

Congratulations to Kyle and Clara for their outstanding accomplishments and representation of MVCTC and their respective programs.  Special thanks to Marion's Piazza of Englewood, Ohio, for donating gift certificates.
