MVCTC Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department February Students of the Month Recognized
Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department is proud to announce the February honorees for the department's Career Tech Students of the Month. Ryan Gibson (Eaton) and Alex Hayes (Miami East) were both recognized for being outstanding representatives of their career technical programs.
Ryan Gibson (Eaton) – Ryan is a phenomenal student in the Business Ownership Program taught by Instructor Mandy Watts. Ryan has a 3.833 GPA, and he has only missed one day during his two years at MVCTC. In addition, he just earned his MOS Word Certification. Outside of school, he is earning his Eagle Scout status. Mrs. Watts stated, "Ryan also contributes in positive ways to his community above and beyond school. He gets along with all of his classmates and is a very respectful student."
Alex Hayes (Miami East) – Alex is an excellent student in the Veterinary Science Program taught by Dr. Christa Nealeigh. Alex has been working diligently on his FFA State Degree. Alex is a hard-working student that pursues his career goals during classroom time. Outside of the classroom, Alex holds a job at an Equine Veterinary Clinic, where he devotes time and effort gaining real-world experience. Dr. Nealeigh stated, "Alex has been on our 1st Place State Animal Behavior, Welfare, and Husbandry CDE team and will be taking the Veterinary Science CDE soon. He is very deserving of being Student of the Month."
Congratulations to Ryan and Alex for their outstanding accomplishments and representation of MVCTC and their respective programs. Special thanks to Marion's Piazza of Englewood, Ohio, for donating gift certificates.
