Class of 2020 National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Congratulations MVCTC National Technical Honor Society Inductees! We are all very excited for the Induction Ceremony on Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m.  A couple of important notes.

  • Ceremony starts at 2 p.m., Student Activity Center Doors will open at 12:45 p.m.  Inductees and honored staff should be at MVCTC by 1:15 p.m.

  • Inductees and honored staff, please check-in at the table in the Student Activity Center.
  • Professional dress should be conisdered for this event.
  • Inductees please go to Room 179 to get your blue robe.
  • Inductees and honored educators, please make sure to visit room 168 to have your professional photograph taken prior to the ceremony.
  • The ceremony will be approximately one hour.

What is the National Technical Honor Society?

The National Technical Honor Society currently serves approximately 100,000 active members and nearly a million members since its inception in 1984.  Awarding over $2 million in scholarships to date, NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. How are students selected for induction into NTHS at MVCTC?

Membership is open to those seniors (with graduating status at the time of selection) at the MVCTC campus, who have: completed three semesters, achieved at least a 3.75 G.P.A. for three semesters, and have had 8.5 or fewer absences for three semesters. Seniors who are graduating in 2020 must have met the graduation requirements as delineated by the Ohio Department of Education and their local Board of Education.  In addition, the following will be considered to be important qualifications:  The student candidates should:  (a) be dependable, (b) be honest, (c) be of worthy character, (d) use knowledge gained in their career-technical field  to continue their education as they further their careers.
