MVCTC Students Participate in 2020 Violence Prevention Poster Contest

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Graphic Commercial Art and Business Ownership programs had students selected as award winners in Montgomery County Prosecutor, Mat Heck, Jr.’s 2020 Violence Prevention Poster Contest.

  • 1st Place: Yareth Rios (Business Ownership/Vandalia-Butler)
    • “Drugs have infested my community, resulting in an increase in poverty.  Drugs are the reason my neighborhood and others near me have police cars patrolling them.  Drugs are the reason there are so many depressed people in my community and they try to fix it with more drugs.”
  • 2nd Place: Sadalia Binkley (Business Ownership/Brookville)
    • “Thoughts dealing with drugs and alcohol make me very sad, depressed, and heartbroken.  I promise that I will never take drugs or drink alcohol in my lifetime.”
