Alexandri earned her the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe Mechanic and Power Plant Mechanic Certifications while attending MVCTC. She also had enough college credits earned through MVCTC to earn an Associates Degree of Applied Science, Aviation Maintenance Technology with honors from Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell.  After graduating, Alexandria went on to earn her Bachelors of Science, Aerospace Engineering, Concentration: Astronautics-Cum Laude California Polytechnic State University.

Alexandria shared, "I was able to work under my FAA Airframe and Power Plant certificates and continue growing my knowledge and skill base as an aircraft mechanic at ACIJET while attending college at Cal Poly. During my second year at Cal Poly, I also started working in the Cal Poly CubeSat Laboratory. While apart of the Cal Poly CubeSat Lab, my understanding of aircraft standard practices landed me as a lead for the XCube project, a collaboration between NASA Airborne Science, USRA, and Cal Poly.  In this position, we designed a standard for CubeSats to fly onboard the NASA Airborne Science Platforms, starting with the ER-2, the science-oriented predecessor to the U-2. The contacts and knowledge gained from the previous school, work, and the XCube project helped me succeed at my current job."

Alexandria won the National SkillsUSA Aviation Maintenance Competition while a junior at MVCTC. Besides earning her FAA Airframe and PowerPlant certifications, Alexandria is an FAA certified Private Pilot.
