MVCTC Agriculture and Livestock Production Program Donates to Preble Food Bank

01/04/2021

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Agriculture and Livestock Production Class has been raising laying hens for the last year and a half. The hens were a class project to help students better understand the proper care and management of poultry. As part of the final phase of the project, the class took the chickens to Kings Poultry for processing and inspection, then donated the chickens to the Preble County Food Bank.

Jenny McCarty, Director of the Preble County Food Bank, and Tami Todd-Izor, who volunteers at the Food Bank, gladly accepted the chickens. Jenny McCarty said, "Thank You for the donation. It is greatly appreciated and will help those that need it most".
