EBITA Department February 2021 Students of the Month

The Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department at Miami Valley Career Technology Center, to honor outstanding accomplishments and leadership in Career Tech Education, is proud to announce the February 2021 honorees for the Department’s Career Tech Students of the Month.  Ben Bitner (Twin Valley South) and Phoebe Jacobs (Tippecanoe) were recognized as outstanding representatives of their respective career tech programs. 

 

Ben Bitner (Twin Valley South) – Benjamin Bitner, from the Business Ownership Program taught by Mrs. Mandy Watts, has many outstanding accomplishments. Ben is a student ambassador for the Business Ownership program and has done a great job creating recordings and representing the program. He is a National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) inductee, and he has been chosen to speak at the NTHS ceremony. Ben is the BPA MVCTC Chapter President and the BPA Region 3 President. He also campaigned as a state officer during his junior year. Ben placed first in the Region 3 Parliamentary Procedures written contest both years. He placed in the top ten for the BPA state Merit test and received the highest Ambassador torch award his junior year. Ben maintains a positive attitude and always helps uplift his peers.

 

Phoebe Jacobs (Tipp City) – Phoebe Jacobs, from the Veterinary Science Program, taught by Dr. Christa Nealeigh, is an excellent Veterinary Science student and is actively pursuing work-based learning experiences through a local Veterinary Clinic. Phoebe journals her experiences in her AET (The Agricultural Education and Training System) with learning goals, skills, techniques, and finances through documenting paychecks. Phoebe has pursued this during the current hybrid learning system to gain skills in the animal science pathway. Phoebe also has an excellent attitude and a willingness to participate when in her Senior Veterinary Science Lab. 

 

 

Congratulations to Ben and Phoebe for their outstanding accomplishments and representation of MVCTC and their respective programs. Special thanks to Marion’s Piazza of Englewood, Ohio, for donating gift certificates.
