MVCTC SkillsUSA Chapter One Local Contest Winners Announced

02/02/2022

Englewood, Ohio -- Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) SkillsUSA Chapter One President Marcella Terriquez (Cosmetology/Mississinawa Valley) opened the February 2022 Meeting.  The officers shared upcoming important dates with the members and welcomed a motivational speaker, Michael Ham from Troy, Ohio.

Michael Ham talked about his life growing up, and how it affected him. He taught us how to try and stay positive and surround ourselves with people who are happy and understand you. As well as to surround yourself with people who love you for you. Michael Ham has had many tragedies in his life but he surrounds himself with the people he trusts and cares for such as his teachers and friends. Mr. Ham talked about the definition of “Family”. Family does not have to be those of the same blood, family is those who have your back no matter what, and support you through life.
