HOSA Chapter Sponsors Community Blood Center Blood Drive
On Tuesday, November 22nd, the Community Blood Center will be at MVCTC for a blood drive.
To be able to donate, you must be at least 16 years old, weigh 110 lbs, and be in good health. If you are 5’2” or shorter, please see Mrs. Wathen in room 116 prior to registering.
IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, STUDENTS SHOULD REGISTER FOR A DONATION TIME THAT IS DURING THEIR LAB. We realize that may not be possible. ALL students participating in the blood drive are responsible for any work missed while at the blood drive.
It is the student’s responsibility to initiate the make-up work.
Registration Instructions: Log onto www.donortime.com
If you previously registered using the donortime website, sign in to the site. If this is your first time to the website, so you will need to click on the “Click here to register your username and password” prompt.
- When creating your account, please use a personal email and NOT your MVCTC email address.
- Once you are logged into the system, click on the “Donate now” prompt
- Click on “Search Schedules” then click on the bottom one “sponsor code search”. Enter the number 768 and enter the “begin” and “end” dates as 11/22/22 as the begin and end dates. Then click search.
- Click on the blue “schedule” word. This will bring up the appointment list. You should choose to register during your lab time if at all possible. Click on an available time and enter your information.
- If the word “available” is not visible during any given time slot, that means there are no appointments available.
If you schedule to donate after 12:30 pm you need to have a ride home from school after the blood drive. No student donating blood after 12:30 p.m. will be permitted to drive home.
If you are a first time donor, please write “first time donor” in the notes section of the donortime registration page.
After registering, you will be sent a permission slip and hall pass via your lab instructor. If you have questions or difficulty registering, please see Mrs. Wathen in room 116 (West building)
***EVERY STUDENT MUST HAVE SIGNED PERMISSION TO DONATE BLOOD AT MVCTC (NO MATTER YOUR AGE).
STUDENTS WHO ARE 16 YEARS OLD NEED BOTH THE CBC AND MVCTC FORMS SIGNED.
PLEASE TURN IN THE PERMISSION SLIP NO LATER THAN November 18th TO ANY BUILDING OFFICE.
