Englewood, Ohio – The Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department at Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC), is proud to announce the January honorees for the Department’s Career Tech Students of the Month.  Melanie Clement (Franklin- Monroe) and Hailey Henderson (National Trail) were recognized for being outstanding representatives of their respective career tech programs.

Melanie Clement (Franklin-Monroe) was recognized by her Business Ownership Instructor, Mrs. Mandy Watts, for her outstanding scholarship and work ethic.  Mrs. Watts stated, “She has a 4.0 GPA and is our BPA MVCTC Chapter Secretary and BPA Region 3 Public Relations officer. These roles have allowed her to be a presenter to Middle Level BPA students, run meetings at chapter and regional levels, and volunteer to help with Region 3 judged events. Melanie has always been extremely helpful to her instructor and her fellow classmates.”

Hailey Henderson (National Trail) from the Business Ownership Program taught by Mrs. Mandy Watts was recognized for being a top student in the program.  Mrs. Watts stated, “Hailey Henderson from National Trail High School has proven to be a top student in the Business Ownership program, and she has a 4.0 GPA. She is currently the Business Ownership Student Ambassador. She helped run a career fair at Valley View in December where she spoke to middle and high school level students about their career options and how Business Ownership fits. Hailey is a great presenter and speaker for our class. She does this while maintaining her excellent grades and attendance.”

Congratulations to Melanie and Hailey for their outstanding accomplishments and representation of MVCTC and their respective programs.  Special thanks to Marion’s Piazza of Englewood, Ohio for donating gift certificates.
