MVCTC Hosts Successful HOSA Blood Drive with Solvita Blood Center

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) hosted its second blood drive of the school year on January 26, 2024, in collaboration with Solvita Blood Center. The event saw an impressive turnout, with over 230 students signing up to donate.
Students in Mrs. Paula Wathen's Medical Lab Assisting program worked to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and provide valuable tips to potential donors.
One of the highlights of the blood drive was the presence of Kennedy Kirby, an alumnus of MVCTC's Medical Lab Assisting program from the class of 2023. Now employed with Solvita, Kennedy returned to her alma mater, where her presence added a special touch as she shared her experience and knowledge with current students.
