Miami Valley Career Technology Center Celebrates Seniors' Achievement in Partnership with Sinclair College

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is pleased to announce the recognition of its senior students who have completed short-term certificate programs and earned associate degrees while still in high school. The recognition ceremony occurred at MVCTC on April 18, 2024, with MVCTC Superintendent Dr. Nick Weldy welcoming students and guests.  

 

MVCTC Aviation Maintenance Technician, Computer Coding & Web Applications, and Medical Office Assisting students were recognized.

 

Medical Lab Assisting Program

Paula Wathen teaches the Medical Lab Assisting program. Students earning two certifications from Sinclair College- Clinical Phlebotomy and Clinical Lab Assisting:

  • Courtney Holbrook (Eaton)
  • Kennadi James (Vandalia-Butler)
  • Malea Padgitt (Miami East)
  • Hayden Schaffer (Preble Shawnee)

Clinical Phlebotomy Certification from Sinclair:

  • Morgan Miller (Milton-Union)

 

Computer Coding & Web Applications Program

Melissa Goodall teaches the Computer Coding & Web Applications program. Students earning the Fast Track Programming Certification from Sinclair:

Aviation Maintenance Technician Program

Ryan Bruss and Jarrett Walters teach the Aviation Maintenance Technician Program. The following students will earn their Aviation Airframe & Powerplant Associates degree from Sinclair:

Sinclair College staff in attendance were Tanya Velazquez (Director of Transition Advising), Sarah Humbphreys (Transition Advisor), Kelsey Roeber (Pathway Manager), and Amy Ratcliff (College Credit Plus Coordinator).
