MVCTC Students Honored at 2025 Darke County IGNITE Awards

Englewood, Ohio – Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is proud to announce that six outstanding students were recognized at the 2025 Darke County IGNITE Awards, held Friday, April 25, during the Darke County Economic Development Annual Forum at Radiant Lighthouse in Greenville.

The IGNITE Awards, hosted by Darke County Economic Development, celebrate students, schools, and businesses that exemplify collaborative efforts in career development for high school juniors and seniors. MVCTC students were selected from a competitive pool of nominees for their exceptional performance in academics, technical skills, and work-based learning experiences.

Damon Hamilton
A senior from Mississinawa Valley High School in the Medical Office Management program
Damon has shown exceptional leadership and drive, gaining hands-on experience through the Premier Health Network. He made MVCTC history as the first student employee to be cross-trained in three departments. Damon has earned college credits, competed at the state level with Business Professionals of America (BPA), and plans to continue full-time employment with Premier after graduation.

Gunner Diegel
A senior from Ansonia High School in the Electrical Trades program
Gunner has thrived while working with Mike Bender Electric, balancing on-the-job training with rigorous academic coursework. His professionalism, technical ability, and eagerness to learn have distinguished him as a standout student, ready to pursue an electrical apprenticeship and college degree.

Ryleigh Hickle
A senior from Greenville High School in the Health Occupations program
With remarkable commitment, Ryliegh has balanced her academic studies, college coursework, and employment as an STNA at The Brethren Retirement Community. She plans to attend Sinclair Community College to pursue a nursing degree, exemplifying leadership, compassion, and perseverance.

Cloey Wolford
A senior from Greenville High School in the Dental Assisting program
Cloey has gained valuable experience at Family Health Services of Darke County, Inc., where she has developed confidence, professionalism, and communication skills. Her growth and dedication have made her an asset to the dental team and set the foundation for a successful future in the dental field.

Keyana Hackney
A senior from Arcanum-Butler High School in the Dental Assisting program
Keyana brings passion and purpose to her work at Dayton Dental Care, where she is already employed full-time as a Registered Dental Assistant. With credentials in X-ray, CPR, and First Aid, she is continuing her path in dental hygiene at Sinclair Community College.

Lily Hayes
A senior from Arcanum-Butler High School in the Dental Assisting program
Lily has gained extensive clinical experience at Alvetro Orthodontics. She holds certifications including a Registered Dental Assistant License and Radiology License. Lily will continue working full-time as an Orthodontist Assistant following graduation.
