MVCTC Students Learn About Geospatial Career Opportunities

12/02/2010
The Computer Technology Academy Tech Prep Senior GIS class recently spent a day at Woolpert, a Dayton based geospatial company. Students experienced every aspect of a geospatial project from the airplane that takes the aerial and Lidar imagery, to the GIS technicians and analysts that manipulate the image, to the final product that is ready for the project manager to present to the client. This field trip allowed the GIS students to see firsthand the many local career opportunities in this fast-growing field.
