MVCTC, Adult Education Supervisor, Amy Leedy receives Leadership Award

05/17/2011
MVCTC Adult Education Supervisor, Amy Leedy, received the Bill Ruth Exemplary Leadership Award at the Ohio Association for Career Technical Education (ACTE) Meeting in April. The Bill Ruth award is a statewide honor for adult education administrators who must exemplify the characteristics of hard work, innovation, action, a “fighting” spirit and passion for adult education, the same characteristics that were held by Bill Ruth, former state leader for Adult Education. MVCTC is very proud of Amy’s accomplishment as she was nominated and recognized by her peers from across the state of Ohio. This is the second year in a row MVCTC adult education personnel have been awarded with this honor. Since the award’s inception 27 years ago, this appears to be the only time that this has happened! Congratulations to this year’s winner, Amy Leedy and last year’s recipient, Ben VanWye! For more information about Adult Education at MVCTC, please visit http://ae.mvctc.com/.
