MVCTC student has poem published

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) junior, Karina Kelly from Carlisle High School, recently had a poem she wrote published in a poetry book. Karina’s mother, Tonia Sawyer of Franklin, without telling Karina, entered her daughter’s poem in a poetry contest. They were delighted to find out that Karina’s poem was selected as a finalist and would be published. Karina’s poem is titled “Strong” and can be found in the book “Starts in Our Hearts: Revelry”.
