07/10/2012
Congratulations to Rosa Tweed (Milton-Union) for being selected to attend the Marie Walsh-Sharpe Summer Art Program. Only 63 high school junior students are chosen from application from throughout the United States. It is an honor for a student from MVCTC to be chosen to attend the Marie Walsh-Sharpe Art Foundation two week Summer Seminar. To apply students submit 6 - 10 pieces of art work on a CD and completed an application with an essay in April. Students received their acceptance letter in June. A scholarship is given to pay for art supplies, food, and lodging. Students have to pay for their own transportation to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kayla Hill (Vandalia Butler) was listed as an alternate.
