Dr. Weldy Participates in Job Forum on Manufacturing in the Dayton Region

MVCTC Superintendent, Dr. Weldy, is participating in a Job Forum at Sinclair Community College about Manufacturing in the Dayton Region. He will be sharing how MVCTC continues to work towards meeting workforce training challenges. The event was hosted by Senator Bill Beagle at Sinclair Community College. The Hearing Panel included Senator Beagle, Senator Lehner, Senator Widener, Representative Butler, Representative Winburn, and Representative Henne. Other members of the panel included: Jeff Hoagland (President, Dayton Development Coalition), Joe Tuss (Montgomery County Administrator), Nan Whaley (Dayton City Commissioner), Jane Dockery (Associate Director,Wright State Center for Urban & Public Affairs), Angelia Erbaugh (President, DRMA), Phil Parker (President, Dayton Chamber), Alan Shaffer (President, Progress Corporation), Bill Lukens (CEO, Stillwater Technologies), John Trott (Exec Director, Area 7 Workforce Investment Board), Deb Norris (VP Workforce Development, Sinclair), and Heath MacAlpine (Asst. Director, Montgomery County Jobs and Family Services).
