MVCTC Celebrates Career and Technical Education Month Over 1,800 local high school students celebrate the importance of Career T

Students and faculty at Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) will join others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate national Career and Technical Education (CTE) MonthTM. This year’s theme is Career and Technical Education Works! CTE MonthTM provides CTE programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE educates students to be college- and career- ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields. Special activities planned include, Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Celebration Week, February 11-15, 2013. The week will include dress-up days and a focus on what is unique about each of the CTSO organizations at MVCTC and how they are preparing students to be leaders in business and industry. Students will also be competing in a canned food drive. Canned food items that are collected will be donated to local county food banks.
