MVCTC Students Win District Congressional Art Competitions

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Graphic Arts senior, Sara Thompson (Miami East) and Graphic Arts junior, Austin Hamlin (Northmont) were announced as grand prize winners in Congressional Art Competitions. Sara’s scratchboard portrait piece was selected for top honors in Congressman Boehner’s 2013 8th District Congressional Art Competition. Austin’s graphite rendering of hands drawing entitled “2nd Period Math” won top honors in Congressman Turner’s 2013 10th District Congressional Art Competition.
