Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium Hosting "Getting Ready for College" Night

Every year the Miami Valley Tech Prep Consortium and Sinclair Community College host an exciting program for our Tech Prep students: "Getting Ready for College" night. The evening showcases Sinclair Community College and all that it has to offer. Students and parents can attend breakout sessions geared to help them understand the process of transitioning from high school to college and the workforce. The 2015 Getting Ready for College event is scheduled for Thursday, February 12th from 6:15pm to 8:45pm in Building 12 on the Sinclair campus.

This year's event will feature speakers on the following topics:

Tech Prep Welcome Session
How to Get Started: Transitioning from Tech Prep to Sinclair
How to Beat the High Cost of College: Financial Aid and the Tech Prep Scholarship
Discount on a Bachelor’s Degree: The University Parallel Program
Academic Advising
Academic Support
Internships

In addition, Sinclair faculty and staff will host tables at this event to provide information on student services, academic programs, student clubs, and athletics.

The night of the event, the Sinclair New Student Enrollment Center will raffle off three $100.00 book scholarships redeemable at the Sinclair Community College campus bookstore. Winners will be announced at the end of the night, and participants in the raffle must be present to win.
