MVCTC Success Story, Cody Brand, Sports Marketing Class of 2012

01/30/2015

Sports Marketing 2012 graduate, Cody Brand, is only a few years out of high school and has already started his dream career!

Cody, from Northmont, attended the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) in Lima, after graduating from MVCTC.  He earned his Associates Degree in Sports Management and Marketing

Cody shared, "While [attending UNOH] I joined in on the university's Race Club and became heavily involved with the ARCA Racing Series & NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  I am currently employed by Venturini Motorsports as their DartFish Technology/Public Relations Coordinator.  Venturini Motorsports, one of the premier NASCAR driver development programs in the country and  fields entries in both the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series."

Cody hopes to continue learning the ropes of the industry, and work his way up through the series and eventually be a Public Relations Coordinator for a championship caliber driver/team.

When asked how MVCTC helped prepare him for his career, Cody said, "MVCTC impacted my career goals by giving me the essential background and basic knowledge for my education. They supplied me with many different aspects of the marketing industry."

Cody also shared, "Some of my most memorable moments at MVCTC were the Business Professionals of America (BPA) events that I gained valuable knowledge from attending.  I would advise current high school students to set goals for themselves and to follow through with them.  MVCTC is a wonderful school to help you get that head start on not only what you want to do for the rest of your career, but also for your college education!"

Way to go Cody! We are very proud of you and your accomplishments!
