MVCTC Student, Gary King, Recipient of Pat Kowalski Memorial Integrity Award

Gary King, a senior auto collision student at Miami Valley CTC from Trotwood is the 2015 Recipient of the Pat Kowalski Memorial Award. The Pat Kowalski Memorial Award recognizes a SkillsUSA competitor who exhibits a high level of integrity, dependability, initiative, positive attitude and service to others, which were Pat Kowalski’s enduring qualities. Pat Kowalski was instrumental in providing guidance to local students interested in the auto collision field, and helped bring the SkillsUSA competition to the Voss Collision Centre location, where he served as General Manager. Kowalski lost his two year battle with cancer in October of 2013. King was recognized at the Southwest Regional SkillsUSA Competition held at Voss Collision Centre on Feb. 28, with a laser engraved plaque.  His name was also engraved in the larger memorial plaque that is on display in the lobby at Voss Collision Centre. King was nominated by his auto collision instructor, Chuck Phillabaum.
