MVCTC Senior, Alyssa McQuiston, Elected State FFA Officer

Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) FFA Chapter is proud to announce the election of Alyssa McQuiston to the office of Vice President at Large of the Ohio State FFA Association. Alyssa participated in the state officer interview process early in April and was selected to be on the state officer ballot at the 2015 Ohio State FFA Convention held in Columbus, at the end of April.

Alyssa has served the last year and a half as the MVCTC FFA Chapter Vice President and has maintained the goal of running for State FFA Office. She started participating in FFA as a member of the Preble Shawnee FFA Chapter her freshmen and sophomore years.  Alyssa is the daughter of Bill and Keri McQuiston of Camden.

Alyssa plans to attend The Ohio State University ATI campus in the fall to study Applied Science. She then hopes to attend Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education. 

Alyssa will have many duties as a State FFA Officer some of which will include leading sessions at the FFA Camp this summer as well as traveling around Ohio throughout the coming year to visit FFA Chapters, speak to agriculture groups and organizations and participate in leadership workshops and meetings.
