As a mill crew laborer you will report to your foreman and take direction from your foreman on a daily basis. Ground work with shovels, rakes, partner saws, ground tampers, jackhammers, rollers and other asphalt preparation equipment will be utilized. You will also be operating a skid steer routinely for millhead work, sweeping and loading materials in to dump trucks. Once hired, you will join the Laborers Local 423.
Skills
Must be proficient in skid steer operations ideally with experience using a millhead and box broom.
Pre-employment drug screening required. Random drug screenings may occur during the season.
Must adhere to and actively participate in Company Safety Program and foster a culture of safety.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Class A CDL preferred, but not required.
Daily attendance and punctuality are a must! Successful candidates will be on time, have excellent work ethic, be coachable, arrive prepared to work, be energetic with a positive attitude.
Saturday work routinely required.
Must be in good physical condition.
Some overnight travel may be required with company paid lodging, meals and transportation.
Days / Hours
Monday - Friday with Saturday work routinely required. Sheedy Paving, Inc. is a seasonal business usually operating from Late March until the asphalt plants close in December. Team Members are laid off as the season winds down usually in late November or December.
Pay Range & Benefits
Starting pay is $29.45 / hours and increases to $37.44 on prevailing wage jobs.
Union Membership within 8 Days of Hire Date.

Weekly Pay via direct deposit.
