LEGAL NOTICE - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS By order of the Board of Education, Miami Valley Career Technology Center School District, sealed proposals will be received by the Treasurer at the reception desk in the Administrative Offices located at the north end of the Adult Education Building until 2:00 P.M., EDST, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 after which they will be publicly opened and read in the Board Room of the Adult Education Building at 6801 Hoke Road, Clayton, Ohio.

MVCTC Dental Assistant Program has Stellar Year

Students in the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Dental Assistant Program ended the 2012-2013 school year strong. Several seniors took the state certification test to earn their Certified Ohio Dental Assistant (CODA) License, and 18 Dental juniors and seniors placed in State SkillsUSA Contests, some qualifying to compete at the National SkillsUSA Contest in June.

MVCTC Juniors Earn College Biology Credit

Several Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) juniors in the Health Career programs recently earned a 70% or higher for the Sinclair Community College Biology 1107 class and will receive four college semester hours of credit. The students were from the MVCTC Programs of Allied Health, Biotechnology, Dental Assistant, and Sports Medicine. The Biology credit earned along with the Tech Prep college credit students are earning in their career technical programs will help to make college more affordable for these career focused students.

2013 Senior Recognition Ceremony - Tuesday, May 14

Congratulations to the 2013 MVCTC Graduates. We will celebrate their two years of accomplishments on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Wright State Nutter Center. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and the ceremony will start at 7 p.m. Students and parents should park in Lots #1 and #2 and enter the Nutter Center at the gates nearest these lots. Please see the attached for more information.

We had a bomb threat call made to the school today (May 7), all students were evacuated and all buildings were cleared by bomb sniffing dogs from the Dayton Airport and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Classes will resume tomorrow morning (5/8) as normal. Thanks to all the first responders for helping ensure the safety of our students.

Denisha Leftrict, Finds her Dream Career

Denisha Leftrict, a senior from Wayne in the Miami Valley Career Technology (MVCTC) Sports Medicine Program, is completing two very successful years at MVCTC. She will be graduating from Wayne High School this spring and will be receiving her Career Passport from MVCTC for successfully completing her career technical program. Denisha has been accepted to attend the Ohio State University in the fall and will be majoring in Dietetics, a career choice she credits MVCTC with helping her find.

Allied Health Seniors Complete Community Service Project

MVCTC Allied Health Seniors in Mrs. Bissey's class donated time on a Saturday to clean up trash along Hoke and Westbrook Roads. They picked up approximately 60 bags of trash.
