MVCTC Students Qualify for National BPA Contests
Englewood, Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter competed in the State BPA Conference on Thursday and Friday, March 12 and 13, 2015, in Columbus, Ohio.
Congratulations to Justin Koger for placing first in his State BPA Contest. Justin, a Computer Repair & Technical Support student from Northridge, won the PC Servicing & Troubleshooting State of Ohio Contest!
Other students qualifying for the BPA National Contest include:
- Dylan Clark (Computer Network Engineering student from West Carrollton) 2nd Place in the State Systems Administration Using Cisco Contest.
- Carly Fink (Business Academy student from Tri-County North) 2nd Place in the State Advanced Interview Skills Contest.
- Kelsey Glaze (GIS & Technical Intelligence student from Northmont) 3rd Place in the State Database Applications Contest.
- Spencer Haney (Game Programming and Web Appliations student from Brookville) 2nd Place in the State Java Programming Contest.
- Kelvin Hovatter (Computer Network Engineering student from West Carrollton) 3rd Place in the State Systems Adminsitration Using Cisco Contest.
- Carrington Kleptz (Business Academy student from Northmont) 2nd Place in the State Entrepreneruship Contest.
- Reggie Steele (Media and Video Production student from Jefferson) 3rd Place in the State Graphic Design Promtion Contest.
Students will compete at the National BPA Contest being held May 6-10, in Anaheim, CA.
BPA is a national student organization that serves Business and Information Technology students. Members participate in activities that promote leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills, as well as competing in BPA contests related to their career field at the local, regional, state, and national levels.
