Culinary Arts Students Receive Fire Extinguisher Training

"[Wednesday, August 31], Englewood Fire Department crews instructed fire extinguisher and kitchen safety training for culinary art students at Miami Valley CTC. Hands-on training such as this one can prove priceless during an actual emergency. Last week, fire crews responded to a reported basement fire. On arrival, crews found that a Miami Valley CTC graduate who received this training last year, had already used an extinguisher to extinguish the fire. Her quick actions not only saved the house from extensive damage, but also likely saved the lives of two family members that were asleep when the fire started."
